Three Year Rule (The Rule Series), by Alaina Stanford

Three Year rule Romance NovelWhen renowned psychologist and best selling author Elizabeth Stewart first noticed Joshua Miller standing at the back of her audience she thought the tall, muscular man dressed like a lumberjack was in the wrong room. Little did she know, Joshua would defy everything she ever wrote about relationships. Little did she know, he was also the key to her survival.

Elizabeth spent her entire adult life avoiding a serious relationship. As the leading written authority on relationships she couldn’t afford a failed relationship so she kept her liaisons casual and short term.

When she hired Joshua to build her mountain home deep in the Utah mountains she found herself attracted to the muscular, rugged construction magnet. Used to dating CEO’s and even Heads of State, Josh was unlike anyone she’d met before.

This laid back, sexy man challenged everything she believed in especially the three-year rule she had sold to the world that insisted everyone has a fake or pseudo personality they displayed to their new lover that hid their inner self and sheltered their secrets. Her belief that you must date someone for at least three years before their true personality was revealed was being shattered by a down to earth modern day mountain man.

Five Star Reviews
This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. It made me laugh ,cry and read on with anticipation
This book is exceptionally good in my humble opinion. I enjoyed it very much. Couldn’t stop reading it. It’s romantic, emotinal and full of mystery and suspense. The setting is beautiful and the characters are real. There are twists that have been excellently developed and the question of ‘who did it?’ keeps you turning the pages.
OMG I lived this book it was awesome. It had a little of everything. I plan on reading it again.
Love follows no planned routine or fits somebody’s mold but sometimes it just happens. An author finds herself the subject of her own views on relationships as a result of happenings in her life. I can relate. Catastrophies helped to shed light on the value of not waiting.
I loved the story. I thought it was very well written. It was very suspenseful and intriguing from start to finish. I would highly recommend this book.

About the Author
I love a good adventure. I love a good romance. As the mother of seven children I also love playing video games with my children. One day it occurred to me to write an adventure that flowed like a video game and I added a touch of romance. Thus, Hypnotic Journey was born. The HJ characters are like a family to me. They are foolish, daring, resourceful and full of passion not only for life but for the friendships they have created in this world and the next. My love for Science Fiction gave birth to the Treborel Series. Paranormal romance adventures featuring a psychotic villain and a multiple layer of hero’s fighting to survive the chaos. I write about how friendship and love can carry you through situations that you might not otherwise survive. You will find my stories exciting and steamy but I am not an erotic writer. I want my stories to stand on their own. My stories fade to dark when the steam begins to rise, but take it from me, the steam does rise and emotions do soar. Review:
Another, for me, new author. Her writing made me feel I was right there throughout the entire book. The characters are well defined and their emotions came through loud and clear. Quick and easy read including romance, suspense, mystery and 2 dogs to bring tears to my eyes. Somewhat of a surprise ending for me. Can’t wait to read another book by Alaina Stanford. I would recommend this book to all romance fans.
