Love ‘em or hate ‘em, reality shows are on just about every network. Since most of these shows are clearly scripted (in my opinion), I thought…why not create my own reality show? So I wrote Pick Me, which is the first book in my new “Reality TV Romance” series and is based on a reality show I’d made up while writing my last book, Kiss Me. Pick Me is a fun, sexy love story. I didn’t pick up my first romance novel until I was in my late twenties. Immediately hooked, I read a bazillion books before deciding to write one of my own. After the birth of my first son I needed something to keep my mind from turning to mush, and Sesame Street wasn’t cutting it. While that first book will never see the light of day, something good had come from writing it. I realized my passion, and had found a career that I love. Val works for a production company, producing the reality show “Pick Me”. It is very similar to the old Dating Game. There are 3 bachelors to pick from and the winner goes on a date. Only this show is a cross with the Bachelor so the winner gets the girl and a chance to propose.
Colt, a local sports agent, attorney, horse breeder loses a bet and becomes a contestant. He and two other bachelors are on the show that is experiencing plunging ratings and about to be canceled. Val has agreed at the last minute to be the bachelorette. Little does she know that one of her bachelors is a one-night stand she had in Denver 6 months ago. Sparks fly when she picks him and sees him for the first time. There are a lot of things gong on at the same time, she has a history with him so that is a problem. She worked for the show so that is a problem and the producer, Jonas is a pervert!!
This is one sexy story. HOT< HOT< HOT love scenes. OMG Colt is unbelievable. Good story, lots of twists and turns and things happening. There are times when the heroine finds herself between a rock and a hard place. In one instance she really uses her head and in another she apparently had nothing in that head. But HEA. Good story. I recommend it.
