How to Fall in Love by Cecelia Ahern

fall-in-loveShe has just two weeks. Two weeks to teach him how to fall in love – with his own life.

Adam Basil and Christine Rose are thrown together late one night, when Christine is crossing the Halfpenny Bridge in Dublin. Adam is there, poised, threatening to jump. Adam is desperate – but Christine makes a crazy deal with him. His 35th birthday is looming and she bets him she can show him that life is worth living before then.

Despite her determination, Christine knows what a dangerous promise she’s made. Against the ticking of the clock, the two of them embark on wild escapades, grand romantic gestures and some unlikely late-night outings. Slowly, Christine thinks Adam is starting to fall back in love with his life.

But has she done enough to change his mind for good? And is that all that’s starting to happen?

REVIEW:
Christine reads a lot of self-help books this how she managed to talk Adam out of jumping of from the Ha’Penny Bridge. Adam is taken away in one police car to have to be assessed by a psychologist. Christine is taken away by the police in another car so they can file a report. Adam is given Christine’s telephone number.
When Adam telephones Christine they arrange to meet up back at the Ha’Penny Bridge. They both go for a walk and end up at The Gresham Hotel where Adam is staying. Christine follows Adam through the lobby up to his Grace Kelly suite.

There in Adam’s hotel room Adam opens up and tells Christine why he came to Dublin it was to see his girlfriend who had told him that their relationship was in trouble. Adams girlfriend said she was going out to Milano’s with the girls. So Adam went to surprise her there at Milano’s. Adam was deeply hurt when he see his girlfriend holding hands with Sean who was Adam’s best friend. It was Adam who had introduced his girlfriend to Sean in the first place. This upset Adam so much that his girlfriend was cheating on him that Adam wanted to end his life.
This is one of the best novels that I have read by Cecelia Ahern. I am looking forward to her next novel. I hope all readers enjoy reading How To Fall In Love by Ceclia Ahern as much as I have.
